US Defense Firms Fear Ukraine Could Enhance and Mass-Produce Patriot Missiles

American defense contractors Raytheon and Lockheed Martin have expressed concerns that licensing Patriot missile technology to Ukraine could enable Kyiv to improve interceptor missiles and ultimately mass-produce them more rapidly and at lower costs than currently possible in US factories. These apprehensions were reported on August 9, citing a Republican member of the US Congress who supports granting the licenses.
